It came on after I was in bed at night, adding to the delicious intrigue and scariness of it. After the Sisters in Crime/LA meetings, my husband and I browse Canterbury Records in Pasadena. He finds all kinds of tapes of his favorite old radio shows: I have found none of mine. Although I'm basically a romance writer whose stories often include elements of suspense, mystery and thriller, those early experiences with "I Love a Mystery" led me to test the waters in pure murder and mystery. Sunday, July 01, 2007 DARRELL AND SARAH ARE WINNERS! DARRELL JAMES won DEADLY INK's 2007 short story competition with "Trust a Dead Man to Keep a Secret." SARAH CHEN placed third with "Bad Boy Burn." The stories appear in an anthology released in June by DEADLY INK. DARRELL and SARAH are members of the Los Angeles chapter of Sisters in Crime, and although I don't know SARAH, I know DARRELL's a really nice guy. So how does a nice a guy write such twisted stories?
